Appeal registered with tribunal
Register at gov.uk/courts-tribunals/first-tier-tribunal-special-educational-needs-and-disability within 2 months of the decision.
Mediation certificate obtained
You must contact a mediation adviser before appealing about content of the plan (Sections B, F, I). Not required for refusal to assess.
Case statement prepared
Clearly state what you're appealing, what outcome you want, and your reasons with supporting evidence.
Evidence bundle prepared
Compile all relevant documents: EHCP, professional reports, correspondence with LA, your views. Index and paginate.
Witness statements gathered (if applicable)
Get written statements from professionals who support your case. They may also attend the hearing as witnesses.
