LA's decision letter (agree or refuse)
Keep the LA's response. If they refuse, they must give reasons. Note the date you received it - you have 2 months to appeal.
LA's reasons for refusal (if applicable)
If refused, review the reasons carefully. Many refusals can be challenged because the legal threshold is low: the child MAY have SEN and it MAY be necessary to make provision via an EHCP.
Mediation certificate (if appealing)
Contact a mediation adviser to get a certificate. You don't have to mediate, but you must contact the adviser.
